SDM Doors collaborated with AD Builders on a beautiful home improvement project in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. The brief was to create a modern, light-filled rear elevation that blended style with outstanding performance.

The SDM team supplied and fitted Cortizo 4700 aluminium sliding doors, renowned for their slim sightlines, smooth glide, and superb thermal efficiency. To complement the doors, two large fixed-pane picture windows were installed, delivering panoramic garden views and allowing natural light to flood the interior.

As a finishing touch, SDM installed matching smooth black uPVC corner cladding, adding a bold architectural feature that visually anchors the cedar cladding (installed by others). This combination of materials creates a striking contrast and a seamless contemporary aesthetic.

The result is a stunning transformation that highlights the benefits of premium aluminium glazing: expansive glass, effortless operation, and exceptional energy performance. Both the builders and the homeowner were thrilled with the outcome, which perfectly showcases SDM Doors’ craftsmanship and eye for detail.
